We are excited to invite you to visit the second MASH (More than A Single Half) art exhibition, that will be held from February 17 to February 20 in the CFEL Foyer and 1st floor. Come to discover the work of the artists (who also work or study on the Bahrenfeld campus besides their artistic endeavors) that are showing their creations.The perfect moment to visit us is on February 17 at 6pm, as the artists will be present to share their experience and discuss their art during the vernissage.We are looking forward to welcome and share a small artistic moment with all of you!

    We are scientists/students working at the Bahrenfeld/DESY campus. We would like to give people the opportunity to show another creative side of themselves and connect with other artists.

    Is my art "good" enough?YES!
    This exhibition is especially for people that are not professionals. As long as you enjoy making art and would like to show it to people, you've come to the right place!    What types of art can I show?Everything that you would like to show, as long as there is a way to include it in the exhibition.
    Paintings, drawings, photography, calligraphy, prints, sciency art, crochet models, wooden art, sculptures..    Does the art need to be related to science?Not at all! All art (science-y or not) is welcome!What can you provide to show my pieces?We will provide poster walls and a system to hang art to the walls. You can also use pins on the poster wall. We also offer tables on request, if you like to e.g. show a sculpture. If you have other needs, please contact us and we will see what we can arrange!Is political art allowed?Political art is allowed as long it is not against any laws or offensive. You can give a description in the registration and we let you know if anything seems on the edge.Is art containing nudes allowed?Nude drawings are allowed as long as the art is not seen as offensive and the number of pieces is balanced between genders.Can I sell my art?You are not allowed to put prize tags on your art. In case someone is interested in your art they can talk to you in person or contact you, if you provide an email address on your artist statement.

    How can I attach my art to the poster walls?You can use pins to hold your art on the poster walls.We provide different kinds of hooks you can use to hang your picture frames or other art.For canvases we can come up with a solution, but please let us know in advance, so we can organize enough hooks accordingly.The pictures below show the hooks we can provide and some examples.
